MAGNETIC SECULAR VARIATION JOINT RESEARCH
ON THE POLISH, BELORUSSIAN AND LITHUANIAN TERRITORY

Andrzej Sas-Uhrynowski
Institute of Geodesy and Cartography, Warsaw, Poland

Eleven magnetic repeat stations were established in Belarus in 1996 and 1997. Measurements of magnetic declination and inclination were performed using D / I Flux magnetometer. The intensity of the total magnetic vector was measured using the proton magnetometer. The measurements were repeated in 2000. At each station the measurements lasted at least two days.
The similar 6 magnetic repeat stations were established in Lithuania in 1999. In the same year, the first measurements of declination, inclination and total vector intensity were performed, using the same magnetometers and the same procedure as in Belarus. The measurements were repeated in 2001.
Daily variations were determined on the grounds of magnetograms from Belsk and Pleshchenice observatories. The results of observations were reduced to the measurement epochs in relation to Belsk observatory.
The description of measuring campaigns in Belarus and in Lithuania and the results of measurements have been published.
